Through understanding and unity between parents and teachers, the Longfellow PTO promotes education, child welfare, and home-school relationships.

What Does the PTO Fund?
Your generous donations help fund the PTO's many events and programs and support throughout our school community. Below are just SOME of the examples of what the PTO funds. To learn more check out our programs and events page.
Educational Programming: Super Summer Math, Opera for the Young, Global Read Aloud.
Teacher Support: Luncheons on conference days, supplies not covered by the district, contribute to celebratory and bereavement events.
Community Support: All families should be able to participate in the full Longfellow experience. The PTO provides Scholarships for Student Events and ALL classes as well as financial help to purchase yearbooks, spirit wear, carnival tickets, etc.
Celebrating Diversity: Kuumba Kids, Monthly Cultural Appreciation, Inclusive Books
Fun Family Nights: Science Night, Art Night, Talent Show
Community Building Events: Back to School Picnic, New Family Welcome Dinner, the End of the Year Picnic.
Fitness Initiatives: Fun Run, Turkey Trot, Olympic Day, Sports Night
Coming Soon: Power of Partnerships Tutoring Program, Staff Lounge Make-Over
